Annual PoconoArts Members’ Exhibition
Join us in the Gallery to appreciate the creativity of our membership.

PoconoArts Squared will feature artist booths and information tables.

2nd annual Parking Meter "Fine" Art Competition is a festive reminder that there is free parking from 3-8PM.

“Art Spy” competition from 3-5PM Open to students in grades 1 – 4, competitors will be asked to visit different galleries and businesses throughout downtown Stroudsburg and “spy” art related items and themes. Search maps have been distributed through the Stroudsburg Intermediate Elementary School or are available at the PoconoArts Council office located at 18 North Seventh Street. Students who successfully complete the search will win a prize sponsored by PoconoArts.

PROJECT STREAM GRANT APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE IN MAY
- DEADLINE JUNE 30, 2008

The Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA), a regrant initiative of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA), a state agency, administered in northeastern PA by the Pocono Arts Council (PoconoArts), will be granting funds for arts projects in Monroe, Pike and Wayne counties. Arts related and community-based non-profit organizations conducting arts programming open to the community are eligible for the grants and are encouraged to apply. Awards, not to exceed $2000, will be made through a local decision-making process. Last year, 28 grants were awarded totalling $27,803 averaging $967 with a total of $450,000 distributed over the past eleven years. Applications will accepted by an online application process through egrant from the PA Council on the arts website.

Applications will be available at the workshops or provided on request. The PPA application deadline is postmarked by June 30, 2008 for projects scheduled between September 1, 2008 and August 31, 2009. April: Feature Guest Artist Jorge Cruz

Award winning Stained Glass Artist Jorge Cruz will will exhibit his exquisite works of art. Whether you are looking for large window pieces or small gift items, you will be amazed by the detail that Jorge puts into each piece. He even creates custom pieces for cabinets and doors. Meet Jorge Cruz at his artist reception on Saturday April 5th from 4 - 7pm. The exhibit runs throughout the month. While there you can also view the ARTSPACE members works.
